What you'll learn in this health class:Enjoy 45 minutes of fast paced cardio cycling with a complementary 15 minute targeted conditioning workout to follow. You'll be doing jumps, hills and some deep muscle work, all to some seriously hot music.
An aerobic exercise that takes place on a specially designed stationary bicycle. As you pedal, motivating music plays and the instructor guides you through a series of hills, sprints and jumps. During the class you vary your pace, sometimes pedaling as fast as you can, other times cranking up the tension and pedaling slowly from a standing position. This helps you to focus inwardly and work on your mind as well as your body.
Spinning burns serious calories (about 500 in 45 minutes) and offers an awesome aerobic workout that makes your heart pump fast. It also tones your quads, outer thigh muscles abs and arms like nobody's business! And although you follow the general instructions of the Spinning teacher, you are in control when it comes to your pace. You can finish a Spin class, regardless of your fitness level, simply by adjusting your pace or the tension knob on the bike!

An ambitious and energetic NYC-based fitness professional, Sara has over 10 years experience training and coaching individuals, aspiring with them to greatness. Since graduating from Fordham University, Sara has spent her years building up her reputable training service, which is now the proud sponsor of nonprofit, N.E.E.D.S. The organization's strong commitment to combating childhood obesity is the direct result of Sara's tireless efforts and deep concern for children's health. She is working to generate greater awareness about the obesity epidemic by starting programs in the NYC region to educate kids on all aspects of wellness. Sara believes that with kids moving and endorphins pumping, America can make obesity a bygone. When she's not working on N.E.E.D.S. initiatives (which is rare!), Sara can be found spinning, chatting up a storm, or running in Prospect Park. She's simply a personable, passionate activist using Sessions Fitness to leverage her campaign to fight for children's health.
