Fidi/Tribeca Gallery Walk ftg. "From the Eyes of Her"

First, we’ll head to the area outside the new Perlman Center for a Curator-led walkthrough of “From the Eyes of Her,” an outdoor exhibit the celebrates the female perspective, hearing from some of the artists on view as well.

Then we’ll head northward to experience some of the latest Tribeca gallery shows, making some street art stops along the way. This is a special edition of our popular Soho & Tribcea Art-full Discovery walk featuring all-new galleries and exhibits.

This will be a great opportunity to learn more about contemporary female artists and explore the FiDI and Tribeca neighborhoods - all while bonding with fellow art-full New Yorkers.

2-4pm | Meet at the “From the Eyes of Her” exhibit for artist talk & gallery hop Greenwich St. next to Perelman Performing Arts Center and 2 WTC site

Note: Prior to the art talk/gallery show, there is a Jazz brunch in iconic dining rooms, available only for Art-ful members.

In collaboration with the Port Authority of NY & NJ and NYC Culture Club, in honor of Women’s History Month, curator and artist Chellis Baird brings together 16 female artists for a public art exhibition located at the World Trade Center outdoor exhibition space.

Our relationship with space is often shaped by our daily routines of travel, whether it's the way we rise from bed, commute to work, or return home. These repetitive actions establish our personal rhythm, and any disruption to these patterns can jolt or awaken us. The pattern we form creates comfort and ease. Visually we seek out patterns and repetition for the same comfort or visual sensation.

Art has the power to transform our perception by occupying a visual space that extends into our memory. "From the Eyes of Her" calls on artists who approach their practice from a female perspective, challenging our understanding of space, whether through their choice of materials or compositions. Women’s History Month, established in 1987, celebrates the significant contributions and space women occupy, historically and presently. The Port Authority, established in 1921, facilitates travel by land, air, and sea, playing a vital role in societal development and connectivity. The infrastructure of both is essential to social growth and vitality.
