Great class! Priscila, the instructor, was super clear and patient. I went alone but I never felt alone. I’d recommend for anyone wanting to use power tools with a professional nearby. It was my first time using a miter saw and table saw and it was exhilarating! Would take again.

Glenn was fantastic. He was patient, but most of all, superbly knowledgeable. He taught us more than just the basics. We used a wide variety of gouges, chisels and scrapers. My bowl came out beautiful!

This class was great. I have absolutely no training and no experience working with my hands. Glen was patient, skilled and the perfect person to teach someone like me.

Instructor Glenn was great - patient and extremely knowledgeable. Explained everything as we went along, and answered all questions. Showed me how to do each step, let me try (mistakes and all) and gently suggested corrections and improvements.

It was what I needed. I learned everything I knew from the internet and this class helped me to unlearn some bad habits. It is for beginners, but it’s also for people like me who have tried it before and need some support and have a lot of questions. Great instructor who was patient and helpful.

Great class for beginners, would absolutely recommend! Walking away with a beautiful product makes it that much better. I never thought I could handle power saws, but left empowered.
  • DIY Wine Rack

    Anonymous review on 1/28/2019
Very cool class but felt a bit more instruction would have been nice. We left with a wine rack that doesn't fit our glasses properly (we did not cut enough space for the stems) which could have been avoided with proper instructions and guidance on dimensions.

  • Skill Sets: Tool Sharpening

Reviewed by Ben R. on 5/21/2018
I ended up switching into the dovetail class instead of taking the tool sharpening class, but Glen was more than happy to teach tool sharpening skills to another student and me before the dovetail class started. This was my second class taught by Glen (the first was a utensil shaping class), and I hope to take more. He has a lot to teach, and he's eager to share as much of his knowledge and skillset as he can. He's quite a talented artist as well as teacher, and taking his classes is both enjoyable and informative. He mentioned preferring teaching without grades, but I give him an A+ without a second thought.

The class was excellent. Glen is a very helpful teacher. He's passionate about his work and eager to share any knowledge he can, even when answering detailed questions involving skills outside of the specific course. Through his utensil shaping class, I leaned and practiced skills that are widely applicable to various wood working projects. I plan to take his tool sharpening class as well to further expand my woodworking skill set. I highly recommend taking any class of his.

Glen has a world of experience and information to offer. Small class size with lots of opportunity to ask questions and receive help when clarification was needed. Relaxed atmosphere.
