Tree of Life Yoga & Wellness

Genesis Tree of Life Yoga & Wellness Center (GTOL) is a Raja Yoga school in the Himalayan Tradition and an integrative holistic center in the heart of Queens, New York. Our yoga classes are designed to teach and make available, to our community and beyond, the knowledge of yoga meditation within the Tradition of Himalayan Masters, as interpreted by Swami Rama of the Himalayas.

Our center has become an affiliation of instructors and holistic practitioners offering complementary and alternative wellness services in the form of classes, teacher training, workshops, retreats and one-on-one holistic therapies.

Our program is comprehensive through the life stages. We have programs for children, pre-natal and post-partum yoga and fitness, yoga for seniors, rehabilitative yoga, and general fitness for reclaiming or optimizing health.

GTOL is part of Genesis Society, a 501 C3 not-for-profit organization founded by René David Alkalay in 1996 with the mission of developing a platform for interfaith dialogue, education, and cooperation. Once the organization expanded into areas of health, environment and the principle of ahimsa (non-violence) it was a natural progression to develop the Tree of Life Yoga Program, dedicated to the promulgation of knowledge of classical Indian yoga in the Himalayan Tradition.
