Class was very good, informative and instructor shared lots of good ideas. More specific information on design strategies of ideas she chose for the collage would have been great. She shared her notes and suggestions for supplies she likes, all great.
More interaction with participants, like checking in every 30 minutes after people were working, or encouraging people to try something. Asking us to show progress along the way, rather than the big reveal at end would be encouraging also.
I like music, background healing, piano, jazz music would be helpful and encouraging. Helps people reduce stressful feelings in trying something new.
I will recommend this fun class to others looking for something new and engaging to do this fall.

The workshop encouraged me to be creative and not to overthink what I’m doing. I also loved The encouragement to mix with black and white pictures, what I did, and what I would have never done without it :D it truly revived my creative energy and I am already working on another collage.

A pleasant way to spend an afternoon but a bit too free-form for me. I'd say the teacher narrated more than she instructed. And she used a ton of a product (modge podge?) that wasn't named among the materials for the class so it was hard to match the experience at home.

I logged in a bit late, so some of my questions or comments below may be resolved and I just don't know it.
I would love to have the class start out with diverse examples of what collage artwork could look like.
I would love to be sent the following resources that I could save and refer to later:
1.) Recommended tools (glues, sprays, what materials make a good "canvas" etc.)
2.) Techniques (like how she spray painted over rubber bands to make a certain effect. As much as she can share here would be great!)
3.) Recommended sources for content. Or asking the class to chime on on where they find great content. This would be esp useful for me right now bc I have some materials for a collage, but I need to match them with complementary materials that are not so "childish or saccharine sweet" in tone.
I would love to be able to connect with the other classmates after this class is over. IE: could there be a follow-up Zoom call where we show each other what we've made! The price for the course was pretty steep (in my opinion). A follow-up class would balance that out a bit.
The facilitator was very knowledgable and encouraging, I just wish she had monitored the chat window more often. I had no sound so that was the only way I could ask questions or make comments.
Generally, I really enjoyed the class! Thank you for offering it!

It was just what I was looking for, I learned a lot and it inspired me to stop just thinking about making collages and to actually make some.

Ginger was fantastic! She made collaging super accessible for me as a beginner.
She also ran great demos and easily answered all of our questions. She was extremely invested in giving us a positive experience and followed through in every way.
I feel well-positioned to take up collaging as a hobby.
Would 100% recommend this course as a fun activity for yourself or with family, if you are interested in a new hobby, or want to sharpen your skills.

Gina walked us through the basics of collage and she did a collage as we worked on ours to illustrate key things. I'm sure if the class had more experience that she would have adapted to that leve. But it was exactly what I was looking for.

Ginger Lou was very patient with us newbies! We learned a knitting scarf technique using size 17 needles and 3 strands of yarn. The two hours went by quickly & I have a new fun hobby to enjoy.

The class was phenomenal and the teacher was beyond excellent!

I enjoyed so much about it .... it was not intimidating , we were able to ask questions and interact ( three friends on with me) and it was so therapeutic and relaxing. I did feel the instruction for ME might have been better if we FIRST watched the teacher create and then moved on to our piece. Maybe we could have done that… But I think I was so excited to start working that I was not paying attention to what the teacher was creating and I missed a lot. I loved her finished product but I didn’t feel like I remembered how she got all of those steps done because I was working on my own which was totally different. I would definitely try the class again. I have told many friends and they are all seem to be very interested in taking the course.

Ginger was very sweet and patient however she really didn’t teach much. She taught how to cast on in a very strange way. She also used 3 pieces of yarn at one time instead of one piece which made it a bit more difficult. Additionally, when Ginger was showing her knitting she was using fluffy/stringy yarn instead of basic, single color yarn and it was very difficult to see the individual stitches. Would have liked to learn purl stitch as well.

It was amazing to watch Ginger Lou create such a beautiful piece. Living in Sydney (Australia) the time difference was such that it was 5am when the course began. I had intentions of getting up and creating but ended up staying in bed and watching instead. I was actually glad as I could really see how Ginger Lou worked layers into her collage. I can't wait to give it a go!

While the instructor may have been skilled, she was not a communicator. She did not have the students intro themselves and did not ask what we wished to accomplish. There were only 3 of us soI it was doable. She wondered off topic and seemed to ramble a bit. My piece was not really a creation reflecting any new info and i left the chat after 1 hour. M
