Michael McKeogh

Teaches at Green Shirt Studio

Michael McKeogh holds an MFA in acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University and received his BA in Theatre from Michigan State University. In addition to teaching and coaching at Green Shirt Studio, Michael teaches improvisation and creative storytelling at Mudlark Theatre Company, a non for-profit children’s theatre in Evenston, IL.  He also serves as a workshop leader and facilitator for Lillstreet Art Center, an art’s based team building and professional development center.

When not teaching, Michael can usually be found acting in some capacity in Chicago. Some of Michael’s most recent theatre credits include: The Host in Welcome Yule! (Chicago Symphony Orchestra); Hamlet in Hamlet (Oak Park Festival Theatre); Col. Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain in The Killer Angels (Lifeline Theatre); Farsari/Dmitri in Concerning Strange Devices From the Distant West (TimeLine Theatre); Dr. Greenberg in Freshly Fallen Snow (Chicago Dramatists). Other regional credits include: Mr. Brown in The 20th Century Way (The Know Theatre, Cincinnati); Algernon in The Importance of Being Ernest (Play Phare Theatre, NYC) and Roderigo in Othello (Boston TheatreWorks).
