Sasha Miranda

Sasha Miranda grew up in the culturally diverse neighborhood of Flushing Queens so at a young age she was exposed to aromas and flavors from all over the world. She graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 2000, was awarded a scholarship to learn about food, culture and language of Italy and then completed a fellowship at the CIA focusing on healthful cuisine. She went on to work at many restaurants in New York and in 2007 she and husband Mauricio opened Miranda Restaurant in Williamsburg Brooklyn where she cooked Italian with a Latin American accent. Sasha is the proud mom of a toddler named Francesca who is a great taste tester!
