Tosha is an actor, director and teacher as well as the Artistic Director of Cor Theatre. Originally from Savannah, GA, she discovered her deep-seated love for Tennessee Williams during her first professional job as Laura in the Glass Menagerie. With her company Cor, Fowler was recently seen in Love and Human Remains by Brad Fraser. Also, with Cor, Fowler acted in the critically acclaimed Skin Tight by Gary Henderson and directed A Map of Virtue by Erin Courtney. Fowler has been seen as Charlotte in Charlotte’s Web at the Broadway Playhouse and The Evil Queen in Snow White with Emerald City. Other companies she has performed in Chicago with include A Red Orchid, Lifeline, MPAACT, Cock & Bull, and Circle Theatre. She co- produced, wrote, and performed in her original solo show, Mami, Where’d my O go?, and has produced theatre for almost ten years for companies including Mary-Arrchie Theatre, The Chicago Fringe Festival, The Academy Theatre in Atlanta, and her founding company, Fowl Brick in Savannah, Georgia.
Fowler has worked as a playwright with American Theatre Company’s “Chicago Chronicle Project,” the DePaul University Diversity Initiative, and the Academy Theater in Atlanta. She has directed plays including A Doctor’s Stories, Poof!, Bash, Bully Breakdown in HD, and The Ironmistress. Fowler is an adjunct professor of Acting at DePaul University, and she holds an MFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul. She is proudly represented by Actor’s Talent Group.
