Mike Pastore
Mike Pastore is an Associate Director of Analytics at MIT Sloan School of Management. He works with colleagues across MIT Sloan to use analytics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of their content and digital marketing strategies. Before joining MIT Sloan, Mike worked within the central Office of Communications at MIT where he oversaw the collection and analysis of web analytics and user experience research data for high-level projects at MIT, including the 2018 redesign of the MIT homepage and top-level experience. Prior to his time at MIT, Mike worked at Harvard University for more than 10 years, most recently as Assistant Director of Digital Strategy and Technology at the Center on the Developing Child. He received a bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University and a master's degree in information technology from the Harvard University Extension School, with a concentration in digital media and instructional design.

Gus Lopez
Gustavo is passionate about data. His passion and key motivator are all around analysing and searching for insights from data to improve processes and create competitive advantage for organisations.

He has over +15 years of experience in data driven projects and IT consulting for multiple industries in North America, South America, Europe and Australia. Some example companies include MTV and CITGO (largest oil refiner in the US), CEMEX (Forbes top 10 global cement company).

Gustavo possesses a deep technical knowledge over a broad range of technologies, ranging from the creation of enterprise data warehouses, working with big data, data integration and extracting information out of data.

Having a Master’s degree from RICE University’s prestigious Computer Science programme, an MBA from Melbourne Business School and a PhD candidate with summa cum laude distinction (Thesis pending – Data Base), Gus has a unique blend of highly technical and business skills.

Gustavo is currently working at REA Group, and is keen to resume his passion of mentoring and teaching data practitioners.

In recognition of his exemplary service in the classroom, Gustavo has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.

Alexandra Sanne
Ali is a lead data analytics instructor at General Assembly. By day, she leads customer engagement data, reporting, and analytics at Atlassian. By nights (and weekends), she leads analytics-based courses and workshops at GA and has taught in both San Francisco and Washington, DC. Prior to Atlassian, she managed analytics for the Owner Intelligence group at Hilton, delivering impactful analysis to drive data-based decisions within the Hilton customer organization.

Ali earned her Masters in Systems Engineering from George Washington University and is passionate about combining systems thinking with data analysis, helping organizations to transform their decision-making processes to be data-driven and improve experiences and products for the end-consumer through data. In her free time, Ali can be found enjoying Northern California's outdoors, whether on a boat on the Bay or enjoying Napa's wineries.

In recognition of her exemplary service in the classroom, Ali has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.
