Houston Wave

The Wave was started in October 2009 by a native Houstonian. We were Houston’s first “jitney” service in 15 years. We started with one bus, but in November 2009 purchased a second bus to meet demand along the two established routes at that time. 

By August 2010, the fleet had grown to 6 buses and 9 regular routes. By connecting people and places with reliable, safe and easy-to-use travel choices while also helping to reduce congestion and energy use, save money and promote sustainability and healthier lifestyles, The Wave is helping to build a more environmentally responsible community.  

The Wave is Houston's Jitney Shuttle Service. We take people the places they want to go. The Wave operates awesome public shuttle buses to all of Houston's premier locations. We also offer the best tours in Houston: brewery tours, culinary tours, street art tours, fountain tours, winery tours, distillery tours, architecture tours, foreclosure tours, best of Houston tours, and so much more.
