Our teacher Raul Guereque was amazing and I HIGHLY recommend taking his class if you really want to get a good handle on the basics of shooting on a DSLR camera. On the first day of class he told us that we would never shoot on automatic again, and he was right! I have been using a DSLR camera for several years, and I learned more in the two weeks of taking his class, then i did in all the years prior combined. He was able to teach us the principles of using a DSLR (F-Stop, ISO, and Shutter Speed) in a way that was very digestible and easy to understand for any level. Then we were able to actually practice these principles out in the field, which made it even easier to understand. In two weeks, my photography skill level has changed tremendously, and now I feel a lot more confident and in control of my settings when using a DSLR. Take this class, and say goodbye to using automatic on your camera!

Great class....Raul breaks it down without getting too technical making it easy to understand and follow. He makes sure that he can attend & give each participant his attention and help, as well as respond to each question. Raul even goes beyond class time to stay awhile & do more practice sessions & give additional tips & pointers. Thanks Raul!

I rate this class 2 stars because that what I have learned in this class. There were 4 meetings in this class but I miss two. Last Monday I was late because I could not find a babysitter and when I got there everyone already went somewhere to take picture. It took me 1 hour to get to LACC ( the school) I got the parking ticket $86 .It is impossible to find a parking in this area. I do not know how to buy a parking permit. Tonight I was in the parking lot of the school ( I took the risk maybe I got the parking ticket again) and I received the text message of the instructor that he just cancel the class because no one showed up. I was late so I can not blame anyone. In the beginning I wanted to rate this class 5 stars because the teacher is very nice. he explain to you everything you do not understand carefully. but at the end of this class I even could not change the lens of my camera. I waste my time and gas to come to LACC and learn nothing beside that I should not take any class in LACC in the future.
