Summer Camp FAQs:
Most of the kits we use are the same used at high school level. The game development software tools are the same that are used by professional developers. Camps are designed to encourage open creativity and deep exploration. Once your child is engaged in the process, they will be challenged at their levels.
The robots are built with partners using specialized kits. Your child will not bring robots home. However, most kits are available for purchase. Students will be able to take home any games that they create at the camp. Please bring a flash drive with at least 2GB available space.
Foods are not provided. You can bring snacks for half day session or snacks and lunch for full day campers. You can also bring money so your child can buy snacks and drinks for sell (generally $1 to $3 per item) at our workshop.
Additional Driving Instructions: Park in parking lot behind Rolling Robots building or in the parking lot of the park across the street
Extended Day: Pay an additional $125 ($100 during the shortened week) and stay for the Roboteers Club from 4PM until 6:30PM. Working in small groups the students apply what they have learned in summer camp to build creative robot projects. They can continue with what they started in the camp or explore something new with the help of our instructors. Price is for one week.
No refunds available. However, credit transfer to another person or class date can be accommodated upon request.
