What you'll learn in this leadership training:

Over the last few decades, top-tier strategy consulting firms have cultivated a unique set of skills that consistently help them deliver high-impact solutions to complex strategic issues. Driving Strategic Impact trains participants in how to drive strategic impact for their organizations and their clients, through a combination of tools, frameworks, role-plays and case studies. 

It is organized along the four phases of strategic problem solving: 
(i) Developing a Clear Understanding of Your Problem, 
(ii) Creating a Strategy Development Roadmap, 
(iii) Analyzing Data to Draw Strategic Conclusions, and 
(iv) Developing High-Impact Recommendations.

Program Structure
This program allows you, over a 12-week timeframe, to build a broader personal leadership competency.
  • Duration: 12 weeks
  • Time required: 3 hours per week
  • Self-paced, high-quality video lectures and interactive exercises
  • Opportunity to connect and discuss with a global community of executive participants
  • IPL’s proprietary myPL mobile learning platform for convenient on-the-go access
  • The Institute for Personal Leadership's proprietary Virtual Mentor platform for practice and feedback (for select programs)
  • Certificate of Completion (Executive Program) from the Institute for Personal Leadership & Columbia Business School Executive Education.
  • Two days of credit toward a Certificate with select alumni and tuition benefits from Columbia Business School.
  • Four to six live online review sessions led by IPL faculty.
  • Access to the IPL toolbox – tools, templates, and frameworks

Important Note Regarding Course Schedule:​
This class is an asynchronous online course, meaning the content is on-demand and accessible to you at your own pace. The time to complete the course will vary from person to person, but will run from the following schedules, and can be accessed at any point within the preferred time period

  • May 20 to Aug 11, 2019
  • September 9 to December 1, 2019

Refund Policy
Notification of withdrawal must be sent in writing to CourseHorse. Full refunds can be obtained up to 30 days before the program start date. Due to the costs incurred for program preparation and administration, any cancellations or requests for transfers or deferrals received 30 days or less from the program start are subject to penalty fees as described below. 
  • More than 30 days notice: 0% Cancellation – Transfer Penalty
  • 14 to 30 days notice: 30% Cancellation – Transfer Penalty
  • Less than 14 days notice: 50% Cancellation – Transfer Penalty
Columbia Executive Education, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to limit enrollments regardless of acceptance status. Individuals who have paid tuition but who are deemed ineligible to participate due to such enrollment limitations will receive a refund.

Substitutions:
Requests must be submitted in advance to Columbia Business School Executive Education and will be reviewed on an individual basis, based on participant qualifications and lead time needed for any program pre-work.

Transfers: Transfer requests must be submitted to Columbia Business School Executive Education and must indicate the new dates and/or new program the participant wishes to attend. Transfers are valid only within one year of the original program start date.

Refunds: Any remaining balance of a cancelled program's payment can be applied to another Columbia Business School Executive Education program within one year of the program date. After one year, the balance is nonrefundable.

Full tuition is nonrefundable under these conditions:
  • The registrant or substitute does not enroll in another program within one year of the original start date, and/or
  • The registrant or substitute defers or transfers more than two times.
