Dirty little secrets make the best stories and you have a doozy! In this five-week Los Angeles storytelling class, Taboo Tales creator, host and master storyteller Laurenne Sala will teach you how to be a storytelling pro and help you stretch your tantalizing yarn into a riveting ten-minute piece that’s the perfect mix of vulnerability and comedic vavoom! Through a series of fun in-class exercises, you’ll delve into your secrets and find the most taboo one. You’ll learn about the structure of performance essays, and explore ways to use your stories to boost your writing career. She’ll even teach you how to expose your narrator’s biggest flaws while also persuading the audience to root for you and give you targeted feedback on your tale.

By the end of the class, you’ll have crafted a polished diddy to perform at the end of class show at a professional theater and submit to one of the many storytelling shows in LA. Before you know it, you’ll join the ranks of the 17 students who won StorySLAMs and 3 who won GrandSLAMs from taking this class.
