Crash Course in Solar Installation

Solar-energy jobs are growing 12 times faster than the U.S. economy. Per the Bureau of Labor Statistics, solar installer employment is projected to grow 105 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations. Since 2020, the State of California has required that all new homes built have solar panels installed. This rapid expansion and adoption of solar panel installations in homes, commercial buildings, golf carts, swimming pools, water fountains, attic fans, and more will result in excellent job opportunities for qualified individuals. Our crash course in solar design and installation can help make you one of those qualified individuals. The solar industry now employs more people than coal, oil, and gas combined. Certificate provided upon completion.

Great for engineers and engineering students, homeowners, contractors, infotech personnel (think smaller and remote-operated systems), and those who want to install, maintain, inspect, or design solar installations.

Question from Anonymous
Hi, I would just like to know if taking this course will certify me to be able to get a job with a solar panel installation company?
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hey there! The way the instructor designed the class you may call Entry Level 101. It does not mean that student will get a job as a solar installer without an interview and hands-on training. After completing this class, the student will be theoretically knowledgeable and while they get hands-on training through volunteer organization, they will be ready to be a junior installer. Most of the solar companies call the organization to find any qualified volunteers to be their employee(s). Besides this, they also go for 'Energy Auditor', 'Site Auditor,' Service Provider', 'Permit Runner', and 'independent contractor' opportunities. They can start a business on - Solar Gardening, Solar Golf Cart, Solar Go-Cart, Solar Swimming Pool, Solar RV, Solar Attic Fan, Energy Auditing, Solar Designing, Solar Remote Web Provider and so many things. The instructor does talk and offer them all kinds of information on all those above. Also, train them a little on NABCEP and C-46. The instructor has been trying to equip them well, so that, nobody can beat them in an interview or updated solar discussion (if they give attention to the class).
