What you'll learn in this green training:

Solar panels installations are becoming more and more popular since 2010. Thousands of home and commercial owners are looking for independent solar installers, and solar companies are hiring solar installers due to their rapid growth of work load.

By 2020, all new construction must have solar as an alternate power supply. This course will offer basic education to work in the solar industry. For the motivated participants, free hands-on, roof-top solar training through a volunteer organization will be offered after the completion of this course.

Great for students, engineers, home and business owners, contractors, electricians, Info-tech personnel, and those who want to change carrier to renewable energy.

Question from Anonymous
Hello. I realize this program doesn't qualify for an actual NABCEP certification, but does this training allow you to sit for the PV Associate credential exam? Thanks.
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi, there! As per the instructor, “The way I do teach my class and after hands-on installation and free classes from Grid Alternatives, it will be possible to go for any kind of PV related exam. In fact, the student should focus on further online lesson prior to the test. A lot of my students got a solar job and, as well as, independent contractor opportunities."

Hello there! The certificate is a certificate of completion, basically proving that the student took the course. This course is an introduction to solar installation. Opportunities to get hands-on training are also provided to students in the class. To obtain industry certification, students usually need to have years of experience in the job and pass industry examinations.
