About Center for CouncilCenter for Council is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that trains individuals and communities in the practice of Council, an age-old practice that involves bringing people together in a circle for candid and heartfelt conversations.

​Center for Council offers a wide range of public workshops and professional trainings in the practice of Council. Training programs are customized to suit the needs of a variety of businesses, communities and systems.  In the realm of restorative and social justice, Center for Council creates Council-based programs that enable individuals at odds—including inmates, law enforcement officers, disadvantaged youth, and members of disenfranchised communities—to be seen and heard, to develop tools for increased communication and engagement, to find common ground, and to create compassionate and thriving communities.
