Brian Apthorp has drawn comics for DC (including “Batman” and “The Dreaming”), Dark Horse, Marvel UK and Neal Adams’ Continuity Publishing, written for Dark Horse’s “Alien” series, and is working on his own graphic novel. He has taught comics art & story-telling at the Learning Tree University, UCLA Extension, Otis Extension, and since 2002, ongoing at the Laguna College of Art & Design in their Illustration program. He has taught Composition at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art, anatomy at Art Center, Pasadena, and given artist’s talks at the Getty Center, CSU Long Beach, the Ryman Arts program at USC, and the Art Institute of California, Los Angeles.
