Teaches at Floral Art
Jennifer McGarigle grew up in Bodega Bay, California, surrounded by wildflowers and wilderness. After graduating from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, CA she briefly worked in the fashion industry before establishing Floral Art in 1993. She quickly gained recognition for her exquisite designs and innovative sensibility. Inspired by architecture, fashion, and interior design, Jennifer has developed a distinctive style that is fresh, fashion forward, and immediately recognizable. Whether designing for individual clients, luxury brands or celebrities, she collaborates and translates their individual style into flowers and event décor.
In 2009, Jennifer launched Floral Art Home, which features collections of modern floral inspired home furnishings and accessories. Inspired by her passion for flowers, she infuses imagination and elegance into each piece, capturing the alluring beauty of blooms for the home. Her furniture designs have been featured in Architectural Digest, O Magazine, Traditional Home, Better Homes and Gardens, and several more with international recognition. In 2012, her " Floral Lace Chair" was included among Apartment Therapy's 2012 Design Showcase, which featured thirty of the best new creations for the home.
Jennifer has appeared on various television programs including LXTV Open House, Good Day LA, HGTV, KTLA Morning news, Tori and Dean, and has designed parties and tabletop décor for The Oprah Winfrey Show. She has also consulted for large hotel chains and corporations such as the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas on Floral design.
In 2010, by popular demand, Jennifer began teaching monthly design classes that highlight how to make floral arrangements that tie into design trends of today. Along with DYI entertaining tips, the classes are designed to be fun, instructional, and inspirational. With enjoyment and success of sharing her expertise, she has most recently started a series of "how to" video's along with the "Life In Bloom" blog, which primarily features DIY tips on floral arranging and entertaining.
