What you'll learn in this crafts class:

This workshop will teach you the fundamentals of marionette making. From assembling different joints, to adding strings to the controller, you’ll walk out having the skills to make a working marionette. Customize your character by adding a picture of your face or the face of someone you know.

Overview

  • See the process of turning a digital drawing into physical parts using a laser cutter.
  • Assemble the parts with different joints to make a working marionette.
  • Customize your marionette by adding a picture of your face to the head
  • String up your marionette.
  • Learn different techniques to bring your character to life.
