Q&A

Q: Do you sell class materials on site? 
A: Yes, canvases can be purchased at the following prices: 11 x 14 for $8 and 16 x 20 for $10.

Q: Can I make up a class if I miss one? 
A: Unfortunately, we do not offer any makeups for classes missed. However, if you want to get the most from the course and the absence, you can tell the instructor when you will be absent ahead of time and the instructor can provide some guidance on exercises to practice while away.

Q: Is the room air conditioned? 
A: Yes, rooms are air conditioned when appropriate.

Q: Can I bring a friend to accompany me and watch?
A: No, unfortunately the class has limited space and all seats must be paid for.

Q: What is the dress code for this class? 
A: There is no dress code for this class, but keep in mind this is an art studio with wet paintings on the wall, so do not wear anything super nice or something that you don't want to risk getting ruined.

Refund Policy
Class tuition is neither non-refundable nor transferable. No refunds will be issued after registration and payment. In case of a Medically Certified illness, a credit will be issued after receipt of your physician’s documentation. The value of the credit will be for the balance of the remaining class sessions with an additional deduction of a $75 registration fee. Credit may be used towards any offerings at The Art Studio NY for up to 12 months.

If after your first class you are dissatisfied with the quality of your course, a written note must be submitted within 3 business days after your first class. After receiving your note, refund of class tuition will be reviewed by our staff. If a refund is granted, processing of refunds requires 8-10 weeks.

Course Cancellations
Although course cancellation at The Art Studio NY is quite rare, The Art Studio NY reserves the right to cancel classes or change instructor assignments and makes every effort to notify students in advance. If enrollment goals are not met, a course may be cancelled up to 48 hours before the first scheduled class. In the event of cancellation, a full refund or credit is granted. On occasion, a course start-date will be pushed back if enrollment goals are not met. In this instance, you will receive a credit for the price of the class that did not take place.

Please note that there will be NO exceptions to this under any circumstances, and that neither CourseHorse nor The Art Studio NY will bend on this policy.

I joined the class to explore my creative side and try something new. The instructor, Ada, has a very engaging and encouraging teaching style. She broke down the basics quickly and showed techniques that are easy to follow and implement. It was a very good experience for me, highly recommend.
