Description
What you'll learn in this metalsmithing class:
It’s time to take off the training wheels. In this work-shop, the novice student will further explore the unique qualities of PMC. Learn to hone your skills with assembled hollow forms, both with cores (bees-wax over organic material) and without cores (rocker bead), and add a new dimension to your repertoire.
Minimum Skill Level: Determined Beginner. Prior experience necessary.
What will we do? Pattern making/paper templates, using contoured push molds, beeswax cores, dry-constructed hollow forms, surface texturing, and advanced finishing techniques. Students will be encouraged to find their own style and voice.
- The price includes all the basics and a kit with the amount of Copper/brass metal they need for the core project. They will need to buy all the rest. The only exception will be PMC class. They will need to buy their silver clay.
- Additional $100 for materials fee (includes Fine Silver Metal Clay lump and paste for projects).
Refund Policy
- Withdraws from class, workshop or programs 8 business days prior to the start of the same will receive a full refund minus a 5% processing fee.
- Cancellations occurring 3-7 business days prior will receive a 50% refund.
- Refunds will not be provided for cancellations within 2 business days, no-shows or same-day cancellations.
The school reserve the right to cancel or discontinue any class, workshop or program, in which case you may choose to receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee, apply the credit towards a different session, or receive a tuition credit for future use. Tuition credits are valid for up to one year. Refunds will be issued within 30 days.
