What you'll learn in this cheese making class:

Mild and milky, smooth and silky: any way you stretch it, we love fresh mozzarella! And in this hands-on crash course we'll teach you how to make it at home.

First we'll set you straight on coagulation as we tell you how milk turns from fluid to firm curds. Then we'll all roll up our sleeves to turn curds into the beautiful balls that we know as fresh mozzarella. Taste several samples of fresh pasta filata (pulled curd) style cheeses (think Mozzarella, Bufala, Burrata, oh my!), enjoy unlimited pours of our house sparkling and red wines, and bring home your own mozzarella masterpiece. 

Mozzarella Making is recommended for ages 16 and up. Non-alcoholic beverages are available in substitution of house wines.

My 2nd class at Murray’s and I enjoyed it for the most part. It would have been great to know more about the sparkling wine and red that was served. It also may have been helpful for the instructor and assistants to fan out and help with the exercise table to table. The instructor reviewed once so if you didn’t catch what to do the first time that was it. I look forward to my next class. Thanks!

The first half of the class was mozzarella tasting, and the second was mozzarella making. It was the perfect length of time, unlimited wine, and very well organized. A really fun date night. It’s educational without being stuffy or boring. Would highly recommend.
