If you haven't made hand-rolled gnocchi yet, here is your big chance. The stuff you buy shrink-wrapped in the supermarket is a dense, pale substitute for light and fluffy ricotta gnocchi you can produce with your own hands. Using fresh ricotta cheese (instead of the more time-consuming boiled potato option), the dish is a snap to make and a great one to add to your dinner repertoire.
MENU:
Fresh Ricotta Gnocchi
Classic Marinara Sauce
Arugula Salad with Lemon-Parmigiano Dressing

STAPLES TO HAVE ON HAND:
For NYC In-Person Classes:
You’ll receive a complete recipe packet and enjoy a full sit-down meal at the end of class with your classmates. Our classes are BYOB, and you are welcome to bring a bottle to enjoy at the sit-down meal (not including our baking or dessert classes).
Our classes are hands-on, coupled with demonstration-style teaching. Everyone is situated at their own cutting board/chef’s knife station around a large wooden work table that accommodates the whole class (10 people max). We work together as a group, with the chef at the head of the table.
We focus on knife skills, preparing ingredients for cooking, and we strive to find every opportunity to offer you a hands-on experience at the stove and at your station, all within the spatial parameters of a single stove/family-style kitchen. We ask for volunteers to assist in all cooking.
For Public Classes:
We have a firm 3 business days cancellation policy (for credit only) to ensure that we have enough time to re-fill your seat with another student.
Please note: Boot Camps require 6 business days notice to be rescheduled.
While it is not in our nature to say no, we are simply not able to accommodate last-minute illnesses or work-related conflicts. However, you are always welcome to send someone in your place, because we understand that these things do happen.
Classes are not refundable.
For Culinary Boot Camps:
Because of the volume of Boot Camps we offer, we cannot offer make-up classes to everyone who misses a class, as it happens too often. As a consolation we have two options for making up missed classes, provided you alert us ahead of time.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
Thank you for understanding!
The students found that the Handmade Gnocchi Dinner virtual cooking class focused predominantly on the making of gnocchi, with other aspects of the meal, such as the salad and sauce, being somewhat neglected. The fun aspect of making the homemade gnocchi was highly complimented. The class was positively viewed as a great confidence booster, particularly when learning to make a sauce to avoid store-bought ones. Comments about the instructor were generally positive, with students praising her for being warm, engaging, and professional, while the course itself was easy to follow. Some students found the class beneficial in learning how to cook gnocchi again following the useful tips by the instructor and the recipe given. 1. "Great confidence booster, no need to ever buy jarred sauce again - you can make it quickly and easily." 2. "Gnocchi and salad were amazing. My family really enjoyed the meal." 3. "Teacher gave great Tips throughout class. Will be making again for sure!"
