What you'll learn in this kids acting technique class:

This class is an enrichment opportunity highly recommended for any child actor serious breaking into the business, or just wanting to learn all the secrets and magic of television and film.

Each class give the student the opportunity to have real television or film scripts assigned to them! Not only do they learn how to dissect and properly "action" each script, but at the end of every class they get their own mini audition mastered. The students will also be learning Script Interpretation/Acting Technique. This will teach each student the basic understanding of how to breakdown and learn the construction of a script, to better engage their imagination, to analyze text deeply and accurately, and to create rich, specific characters to harness into their own “actor’s toolbelt”. It is critical to learn of every technique, just as it is critical to be well read, and to know how to interpret what you are reading.

Deconstruction is imperative for birth of character. Sensory, Physiological, and emotional realms are explored. Actors will create characters by drawing on their own emotions and memories, aided by a set of exercises and practices including sense memory and affective memory. Students work on a series of progressively complex exercises to develop an ability to first improvise, then to access an emotional life, and finally to bring the spontaneity of improvisation and the richness of personal response to textual work. You can't miss opportunity for anyone looking to break into the film and television industry

This is an on-going class, you may begin anytime.
