What you'll learn in this kids camp class:

Want to become a reporter and have your work read by people all over the country?

In the Kid Reporter Program workshops, students are guided on an in-depth exploration of media literacy and learn how to become critical journalists. Working one-on-one with professional journalists, editors, writers, and educators, students take part in every aspect of producing the IndyKids newspaper – from topic selection, researching and writing, content production, interviewing, on-the-ground reporting, editing and finalizing their work for publication, and finally, distributing the paper to a growing, national audience of their peers.

Please bring:
  • A laptop or tablet, if you have one
  • Lunch and a snack
  • A pen and a notepad
  • Your brilliant minds and boundless energy (very important, don't forget them)
Location is not usually announced until about a week before the class starts but is always located in  the Chelsea neigborhood in Manhattan at one of the two locations:
