What you'll learn in this intermediate french class:

This stimulating class teaches you to use the future tense. Also, because we introduce modern French idioms and essentials of French grammar, you learn to speak spontaneously. Each session of Conversation Courante is packed with fresh topics, so you’re guaranteed to build vocabulary, master new phrases, and become far more confident in your ability to speak easily, naturally and spontaneously en Français.

Refund Policy

Requests to withdraw or cancel your classes must be made in writing by email to [email protected]. You may withdraw for refund up until five business days before the first class of a session. After that date, no refunds or program credit is granted for withdrawals/cancellations or failure to attend. Refunds are issued less a $50 Cancellation Fee.

C'est bien pour quelqu'un qui n'a pas besoin de s'initier à l'utilisation des trois temps principaux et qui aimerait pratiquer. Si la personne n'est pas complètement à l'aise pour pratiquer mais a les bases à l'esprit, c'est bien parce qu'elle aidera l'élève. Mais si l'étudiant a besoin de savoir comment s'exprimer, il doit suivre le cours d'introduction.

I'm pretty sure about the class but I'm not 100% sure and before I commit I'd really like to test out 1 class. Is it possible for me to pay for and attend just 1 class as a test to see if it fits what I'm looking for? That would make me much more confident in investing toward the rest of the 9 lessons.

The atmosphere of the group is really important to us. The students (who have been repeating the class many times for most of them) get to know each other until they form a very dynamic and friendly class. For this reason, we do not offer trial class since we believe that a permanent turnover of new students would be detrimental to the quality of the conversations. ​

I went to a French school from age 4-15 and used to speak French fluently. I'm now 21 and because I haven't practiced I often hesitate in a conversation, search for my words or mispronounce a word. I'm looking for a class to be able to sit in a group and just speak for an hour or two. I don't need much of a refresher on grammar, just practice speaking. Does this description fit the class that I'm looking at?

The Conversation Courante class corresponds perfectly to what you are looking for. As opposed to the Intro to Intermediate level, in Conversation Courante we do not follow a lesson plan. We start a new conversation every week out of a text we wrote (and where we include various topics and use a lot of idioms).

The students comment, discuss, exchange about the topic while they are guided by the teacher. If a grammatical mistake is made, the teacher will correct and explain the details of the rules, for the benefit of the whole class.
