Class Level: All levels
Age Requirements: 18 and older
Average Class Size: 12
Teacher: Sarah Lohman

What you'll learn in this history lesson:

Sarah Lohman ate like a tenement dweller for a week in 2009 by following an 1877 pamphlet titled “Fifteen Cent Dinners.” She also lived as a 19th century Irish maid for a day. From her experiences and research, she'll unveil to surprisingly complicated--and heartbreaking--back story of Irish food, from dinner in the homeland, to the diets of Irish-American Immigrants.

Still have questions? Ask the community.

If you're looking for a refund, you need to back out of the class a week before it starts. We know it's draconian, but since we're not charging a million bucks, it's kinda hard to deal with last-minute bailings. Instead of dropping out if you have a schedule conflict, a better idea is to ask around your friends and see if anyone would take your spot, then just get money from them! We also can't switch you between class sessions or give any sort of refund after the class happens.
