Field Trip to Terra Matter Cannabis Farm

We'll be taking a group trip to an amazing women-owned cannabis farm in Rhinebeck, NY. 

We'll meet on the lush and idyllic property to a spread of snacks and refreshments, learn from Andi Novick, the lead farmer about her growing process and the healing properties of cannabis. We'll then be joined by the founder of Greenpoint Cidery for a tasting and conversation about the cider-making process and the founding of her company. 

As we age, the production of cannabinoids in our body declines, as does our health: a daily dose of the plant’s cannabinoids can restore our endocannabinoid levels.

All plants are here to help us, but we are in a more intimate relationship with cannabis. We both have endocannabinoid systems that produce cannabinoids.

Despite the illegality of cannabis, which historically had made it difficult for scientists to study, there exist thousands of studies demonstrating an extraordinary breadth of conditions that cannabis can relieve or heal.

Outline of the day trip:

• 1 | Arrive on the Amtrak to Rhinecliff and carpool to Terra Mater Farma
• 2-3 | Learn about the health benefits of weed 
• 3-4 | Tour of the farm
• 5-6 | Cider tasting and conversation with Greenpoint Cidery founder
• 6 | Carpool back to explore the town of Rhinebeck and get dinner at a local restaurant
• 9 | Catch Amtrak back to NYC
