This vocal workshop is open to beginner and intermediate students looking to develop vocal technique while tapping into the language of jazz.
Whether you are an aspiring singer or an instrumentalist who would like to do more singing, If you are looking for singing classes in New York City, this workshop will give you the ability to learn the foundations necessary to develop your singing voice, learn a vast selection of jazz standards and feel comfortable exploring their interpretative possibilities. During the course of the workshop, students will practice vocal and breathing exercises geared toward strengthening the singing voice, supporting and improving tone, and increasing vocal elasticity and range. While touching upon basic notions of music theory, students will also learn more about phrasing, rhythm, improvisation, and verbal/nonverbal communication.
Registration fee included.
Note: This workshop is for Beginner and Intermediate level.
Once students commit to participating at the workshop we hire a teacher and block the space for the class. The NYJW commits to the payment of the teacher and the studio rental and we therefore are unable to offer refunds.
We try to keep the costs for the students as low as possible and we do offer the opportunity to participate in one of our classes before signing up.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
