This course will help you gain confidence and strength in your presentation techniques.
You will:
Note: There is a required text book for this course: 7 Steps To Fearless Speaking by Lilyan Wilder
You will:
- Increase your tone: pitch variety, rhythm, and volume.
- Enjoy the art of enhancing imagery with the stressing of words and syllables.
- Gain a variety of breathing techniques and voice exercises to overcome fear and nerves.
- Learn body language and eye contact skills to grab your listener and to keep your audience engaged.
- Master the art of handling Questions & Answers.
Note: There is a required text book for this course: 7 Steps To Fearless Speaking by Lilyan Wilder
School Notes: Please don't forget to bring a valid ID. Students registering on or after the first day of class shall be assessed a non-refundable late registration fee of $10.00.
Refund Policy
Tuition refunds are calculated in accordance with the Tuition Refund Policy for those students who officially drop a class or classes during the first three weeks of the semester. Fees are not refundable.
- Drops prior to the first day of the semester: 95% Tuition Refund
- Drops during the first calendar week of the semester: 75% Tuition Refund
- Drops during the second calendar week of the semester: 50% Tuition Refund
- Drops during the third calendar week of the semester: 25% Tuition Refund
- No refund after the third calendar week of the semester.
Tuition will be refunded 100 percent for those courses which, at any time, are cancelled by the College. Failure to attend class, merely giving notice to the instructor, or stopping payment on a check is not considered an official drop or withdrawal.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

Speaking in Public
Great class, just wish the time did not run as late as it did. I learned a lot and got a lot out of it. I definitely recommend this to someone looking to improve themselves and well-being when it comes to speaking in public. A week flies by overall when you are working a full time job so I would prefer this being a "once every 2 week" class vs weekly. Great experience, but again you get what you put into it and there is a lot of self practice and reading involved in order to succeed.
