Course Format: The American Heart Association (AHA) offers a blended option for the Heartsaver CPR/AED Course. This online/blended option has 3 parts. Part 1 is called "Heartsaver® CPR AED Online", which involves the lecture part of the course and it must be completed online by the student at on the AHA wesbite. Parts 2 & 3(Practice and Skills Test) must be completed at a physical location with an AHA instructor in a traditional classroom setting.
General course information: This is a credentialed CPR course for lay responders (AKA non-healthcare professionals). Students will learn online Adult/Child/Infant CPR skills along with the use of barrier protection such as pocket face masks. Participants also learn how to use an AED. This course meets the requirements of athletic coaches and personal trainers.
Students receive: An AHA digital Heartsaver CPR/AED student manual and an American Heart Association Certification card (valid for 2 years).
Audience: Teachers, Coaches, Fitness pros, Daycare providers, Parents, Camp counselors, Construction, Daycare and Nursery Schools, and other caring citizens.
