Meet Maureen (Anders) and Adria (Ruff). These two are the designers behind the 2010 design company Anders Ruff®, a popular graphic design, party styling, DIY blog and online shop. Anders Ruff® quickly evolved from an Etsy shop, to their own branded e-commerce platform and blog where thousands would visit and shop their online store for printable party goodies. They coined the blog column, “Ruff Draft”, which was a source of DIY inspiration and ideas for many years. 6 years later and many creative ideas completed, these two had demands from fans and clients to offer hands-on workshops where they could teach their skills to others. Their dream of coming out from behind the screen to offer DIY workshops for home decor and other creative skills came true! The vision was to create an inspiring and charming boutique workshop that not only offers classes but sells unique and beautiful retail items that Maureen and Adria use in their styling jobs and photoshoots for magazines and celebrities! AR Workshop® was born! Their DIY loving audience quickly noticed the AR Workshop® brand and concept, and started asking to open their own locations. Now here we are, over 2 years later with more than 100 franchise locations across the country!
Due to Coronavirus, Justine was limited to teaching just me and my girlfriend. She was extremely friendly and we enjoyed casually talking with her, while making our beautiful blankets. Highly recommend this class, and this instructor -- it's really good value!
Loved the instructor! The class was really fun and my project came out beautiful!
Very nice location and helpful staff. Project was fun and staff gave clear instructions. Would have liked written instructions to take home so I could easily recreate this!
My hubby and I had SO much fun working on our pieces! The instructor was helpful and pleasant! Nice to work on something and have them to bring home with us!
The teacher is very patient in showing me how to knit the chunky yarn into a blanket. The class is overcrowded. There really should be 2 students instead of 4 people per table. It was difficult to share the space without interruptions and distractions when the person sitting next to you had their arms in your working space hovering over your blanket and you had to wait for her to finish before you could continue working on your blanket. I give it 5 stars for the professionalism of the staff and the clean area.
It was fun teacher a little inexperienced
Those blankets are EVERYTHING!! The process was really quite easy to wrap your mind (and yarn) around. The space we worked in was also nice and creatively inviting. The blankets came out very very cool and actually really professional looking, for those who did miss a loop or two ;~) I would absolutely recommended this as a fun activity and a way to learn a new fun skill.
I signed up for this class with 3 other friends to celebrate our friends birthday and we had a blast. Everyone’s blanket turned out beautiful. You learn 4 different knots to produce a super soft blanket over 2-3 hours. We had a mix of serious crafters and novices and everyone was equal parts engaged and relaxed in their project. The only thing that could have been better was a bit more space to work- the blankets get pretty long and can start to droop off the table. That said, I would (and have) recommend this class for groups of friends, coworkers or family to take as it’s something interactive and social.
Easy instruction, friendly staff- overall good experience.
