Description
A new mother, Kazuki was having a hard time finding outfits for her baby girl Kharin that suited her taste. She had to navigate the world full of pink stuff to find the cutest little orange things and mint green things.
Then it came to finding black outfits for the baby. Kazuki is a New Yorker, and a designer. She wears black. A lot. Her baby must have at least one or two black outfits, too! She had a really, really hard time finding good black outfits for Kharin. When a New Yorker does black, she/he does black.
Then she thought, there must be other mothers who are looking for the good black outfits for their babies, too. She could help them.
Kazuki Kozuru-Salifoska is a fashion designer in New York City. After graduating from Parsons School of design about 12 years ago, she has worked for several major designers, including Carmen Marc Valvo, babyGap, Eileen Fisher, and Bernadette Conte.
Kazuki designs, hand-prints, and sews garments in her kitchen as well as at the store in Astoria, NY.
