We had an absolutely amazing time in the ramen making class. Everything was explained in a way that will make it easy for me to repeat this recipe at home. I look forward to experimenting with my new ramen making skills. Thank you Cynthia!

Didn’t really learn anything. We made pasta from scratch but everything else was pre made and it felt more like assembly than preparation/cooking. Also very difficult to see instructor - overall class felt unorganized and it only lasted about 30-45 minutes. Remainder of time was spent eating and mingling. Additionally they provided one bowl and one set of noodles per pair so it felt more conducive for dates.
-
-
Teacher was awesome. Info was great. One thing that would be awesome is to take a class where its not just all couples. Not looking for a singles event. Just a cooking class where you learn to cook, and you're not out on a date with 12 other couples.

We enjoyed Christine and her assistant - embarrassed I forgot her name - but found the space a bit off-putting. Chairs were too close together and the tables not big enough to work efficiently. Next time, they should turn off the TV (I asked the bartender about halfway through the class). The kitchen was noisy - I know they have to keep working, but it was distracting. We learned a lot and had a blast, so overall it was great!

I thought the class was great, a lot of fun for not a lot of money. The location made it a little tough to hear Cynthia when she was talking, but she could not have been sweeter and was very informative. Both dumpling ingredients were delicious and there were some terrific takeaways. Would definitely take another class!
-
-
I enjoyed learning about knife cutting skills as well as trying out the different shapes for the dumplings.
-
-
The chef was great and taught us more than expected (about dough, knife skills, sauce prep). Very friendly and helpful!
-
My sister and I had a great time. We met wonderful people and had fantastic hand made dumplings - steamed and fried. Creating 9 different styles of closures and 2 filling gave us the confidence to do this on our own. My sis said she would definitely take more classes back home in Atlanta. And I will here in NY as well. Thanks for the inspiration!!
-
It was super fun and well organized! The instructor was very passionate and explained things well!
-
-
This class was a disappointment, the "room" was uncomfortable, the tables were small, no space to move around!
We learned nothing about ramen, we just did the noodles and the rest was just like a buffet.
The only thing nice about the class was the couple sitting next to us, the rest It would have been better just to go out to have ramen at a restaurant in the city.

-
We had a very good experience, everyone was so nice and friendly, the staff was helpful and made the experience a good one. The class was also informative. I am looking forward to making my own ramen at home.
-
-
I thought this was a great class. Well-priced. Convenient venue. Great instructor. Could have used an additional steamer. And I was promised the recipes by email, but haven't yet received (
[email protected]). And yes, I've checked spam!
-
There were great general cooking pearls included in the demonstration. The tasks were fun and doable and can definitely see making these at home. It was social and fun and yummy.

The only thing I did not like about the class is: I was late. I was very good in thinking of something to do. So much to eat! Was very nice.
-
Cynthia was amazing! The class was perfect for all levels. The instructions were clear and simple. She is a great instructor and leads the class with an awesome vibe. The dumplings came out beautifully and there were plenty to eat.

Great class with wonderful instructor! Very helpful and friendly. Delicious dumplings!
-
It was a nice intimate class and everything was very clear and fun!
-
We enjoyed ourselves but weren’t huge fans of the instructor. She seemed annoyed to wait for everyone to wash their hands when there was only one bathroom which we obviously couldn’t control. The pasta making was fun but we didn’t love the setting in the hotel. Would have better in a kitchen. Also we wish we were shown how the sauce was made instead of being left alone while the pesto was made in the back. Overall we had a good time because of each other’s company, but we wouldn’t reccomend this class.

My husband and I chose this class as an alternative to our typical dinner-out date night, and I'm so glad we did. We really enjoyed the class and learning 6 different techniques for making dumplings. Cynthia is amazing - energetic and knowledgable - she kept the entire group focused and excited the entire class.
The class is held in a group setting, where you sit in groups os 4-6, and share the chopping and mixing duties. Then, Cynthia walks the group through the dumpling shapes and techniques with both square and round wrappers.
The dumplings themselves were delicious - we made vegetarian and chicken varieties and are excited to make these at home.
The class is held in a hotel restaurant. There is a bar in the room where you can purchase drinks.
This class is a lot of fun and a terrific value. Highly recommend for a fun night out!

Great experience! Instructor was awesome and helpful!
-
Very fun class. Hands on preparation of ingredients and the dumplings with guidance from the instructor. Everything was delicious.
-
I’m torn.
We were hopping for a proper cooking class. To that end, we would rate it a 3.
What we found was tantamount to a good date night. The paint night of cooking if you will. To that end I’d give it 5 stars. Enough (tasty!!) dumplings to fill you up, enough of a fun « cooking » experience to put a check in the box (pre cooked materials with mere chopping required, 6 brief dumpling folding techniques, a footnote of recipe) a cash bar with reasonably priced wine/beer but a true cooking class it was not.
The search continues...

Amazing, fun experience. I would definitely attend another class by this instructor.
-
I really enjoyed it! She was great! The pasta was delicious!
-
-
Great class!
-
-
Instructor was ver knowledgeable and explained insider kitchen tips. Class was open and fun, interactive and social. Each table worked together to prepare ingredients. Dumpling shaping was fun and hard. We didn’t get all the shapes down but had many leftovers to enjoy.

Our chef was amazing, friendly, easy to speak too, and loved her descriptive during the cooking lectures. She provided vegetarian options for us and the food tasted Delicious at the end. And now I can make my boyfriend dumplings anytime he wishes.

It was truly taught by a very engaged smart chef who made the event very fun and educational
-
-
Great learning experience, Cynthia was accommodating and very helpful! Easy to follow instructions. Fun class! Will book another class.
-
-
Very fun class!
-
The teacher and her assistant were enthusiastic, informative, and overall very helpful! We learned so many skills not only relating to the dumplings we were making but also skills we can apply to cooking other dishes at home!
-
The class was a hit! The instructions were explained effortlessly and the class flowed like the tofu off of the spoon onto the dumpling wrapper. I would definitely attend this class again and leave satiated, dreaming about dumplings for days.
-
-
We had a great time at this event. It was easy to follow. Looking forward to the next event.

This was a great class that my boyfriend and I enjoyed! Everything was super easy and fun to do!
-
was fun and she was a great teacher - would recommend this class
-
Fun and well instructed!
-
This was a really fun class! Cindy is really friendly and a great teacher. We ate a decent amount of dumplings, probably 10-15 each!
-
Great class and great teacher!!
-
Fun class! Good background information and pasta and pesto came out great. I came with my fiancé and we’d definitely take another class with this instructor.
-
Fun and informative. And delicious. Cynthia was organized and detail oriented with the pasta background and process but knew the class likely had cooks of all skill sets so she kept on a level everyone could find helpful. We would sign up again in the future for other classes. Thanks for a great experience!

-
First time at a cooking class and I had so much fun! The instructor was awesome and the food was delicious!
-
We had an excellent class! Cynthia was welcoming, professional, informative and patient with all our questions. The food was fresh and delicious...we will definitely be back for another class.
-
This was a great time. Informative and educational without too much boring info or sales pitch. I will be back!
-
The instructor was very knowledgeable, and it was a lot of fun making, cooking, and eating the food with the other people in the class. We really felt like we learned something!
-
Great time! Very informative and good for beginners.
-
Had a wonderful time!!!
-
The experience was great!!! I loved everything about it! Socializing with other couples was such a great experience! Would definitely do this again!
-
Great class, we were able to make over 30 dumplings between the 2 of us. Cynthia was a great teacher and the class was well worth it. Definitely would recommend
-
-
Cynthia was organized, clear in her instructions, realistic in her timing of how long each task would take, and fun to work with. I've taken other cooking classes before, and hers was among the best. I got quite a bit out of it. I've tried to make Chinese dumplings in the past, and have never found instructions that worked. She demonstrated, described, corrected our work, and made the experience fun. The class was 2 hours long, but the time flew by. And the dumplings were both good to look at and delish.
-
Amazing night with Cynthia!! Wish there was a better way to demonstrate each type of dumpling so everyone could see as she explains it. But, super flavorful and delicious and learned new skills and helpful techniques in the kitchen! :)
-
I had a lot of fun. It was simplified enough for me to follow along and I met some cool people.
-
Cynthia was great! We were shown various cooking techniques, and ate delicious food through her recipes. She offered good thoughts on how to prepare dumplings at home and facilitated an enjoyable group experience. It was really great all around.
-
We had a wonderful and fun experience. Our instructor was great and knowledgeable. Will definitely take another class soon!
-

-
Great, fun.

Fun, engaging, yummy! Venue could be more inspiring but everything else was perfect.

-
-
It was so much fun! & the dumplings were delicious! Definitely going back to try different recipes!
-
Great instructor. Great class.
-
While the main instructor was good, it was her assistant who really blew us away. She stayed at our table and walked us through each dumpling we made - it was like our own personal class
-
This was awesome. Cynthia was helpful and informative, and the experience was super nice.
-
It was nice. Cynthia made sure to come around and give every group attention and assistance. It made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I wish we could have also helped create the pesto sauce as well though. But that could have been very time consuming. Overall, it was a great experience.
-
Amazing class and instructor! Would recommend
-
Amazing experience and teacher! Will definitely be back for more classes.
-
Great class! Had a great time.
-
-
Great class!!
-
The class was great! Easy to understand instructions and Cynthia gave a lot of helpful tips!
-
-
Chef Cynthia was an amazing instructor and hostess, she is very specific in her delivery of culinary directions, we will come back...
-
I enjoyed the class it would of been nice to have a hand out with the folding techniques.
-
-
Teacher was great!!!!!!!
-
It was nice but wish everyone was able to take extra sauce and pasta home. $60/per person is a bit expensive for the one little bowl of pasta we wound up having. I understand that there is a cost to the teacher’s time as well, but the value of the class + 1 bowl of pasta didn’t feel like it added up. I was lucky that I did not have a partner for the class, so I was able to take extra pasta home with me, but the others only had the 1 bowl.
-
It was a great class! The teacher was great and very helpful and educational to make the pasta. I went with my mom and sister and we all loved it. Will definitley go again and try different classes!
-
Amazing teacher. Food was great. Cool people.

Cynthia was a great instructor we had a blast

Had a great time learning the six different shapes to fold the dumplings into. Some were easier to master than others. I guess with practice that will come. We had two different fillings to mix; meat and veggie. The meat was chicken with ginger, garlic, chopped basil, and mashed sweet potato. The veggie had tofu, chives, Asian coleslaw, and scallions. The instructor, Cynthia, added sesame oil to both mixtures, and we mixed with our hand wearing a plastic glove. There was a station set up for steaming them, and Cynthia would fry them for us if we wanted, and could do a mixture of both. They came out really tasty. There was also a station to mix dipping sauces. I had a good time. I highly recommend this class.

-
What a great experience! Cynthia was a great instructor & we had so much fun! We made so many different types of dumplings! Highly recommend this class!

Great learning experience with Cynthia! She was excellent with teaching a professional but yet fun hands on class.

Cynthia was very knowledgeable and delightful. She made the class fun and enjoyable. I highly recommend the class. Cynthia is a gem!

The instructor was knowledgable and it was a nice opportunity to mingle and eat good food!

The instructor was great. However, when I took this class I expected to have a kitchen setting not a restaurant setting. I was sitting on a booth and when asked to cut something how was I suppose to stand up and cut?! The tables were low even if I stood up to cut the vegetables. Highly disappointed for paying a high price for this class. Not worth it. Look for a class that offers a kitchen not a restaurant setting while hotel customers are eating in there while you’re taking the class.
-
Loved the class - had so much fun! The instructor was great and my group had a great time!
-
I booked this class for a corporate team outing with a group of 13 people. The class exceeded our expectations and we had such a great time! The teacher was amazing, very hands on experience, and the dumplings came out great. Couldn't have asked for a better time. Thank you to our teacher and the cocusocial team!! We will definitely be booking another class for our next outing.
-
Instructor was very friendly and attentive. The class was very easy to follow, and cavatelli pasta is completely doable at home.
-
Cynthia was a doll her assistant was very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely do another class if Cynthia was the teacher again
-
It was awesome.....highly recommend
-
Wonderful experience! Will definitely be doing this again!

The instructor (Cynthia Tomasini) was great!
-
The dumplings were delicious. Cynthia was very thorough and had great energy. It would be helpful to get the recipe to make at home.
-
Did not learn how to make the dumpling wrap - they were store bought potsticker wrappers. Instructor did not provide any recipe for what was put inside the dumpling - was told we could put anything in it that we want...but that's not helpful. Extremely disappointed. Did not learn anything and it cost way more than it was worth.

-
Cynthia was awesome! She was a great teacher, very patient with novices like myself and my husband. Overall a wonderful evening! I would do it again in a heartbeat!
-
Fantastic and fun class. The teacher was smart, engaging, fun, friendly, and supportive. We had a blast. Will recommen her, the school, and this dumpling class. YEAH! Thanks for a great night!
-
The pasta we made was nice, but I would have preferred if the class had been in an actual kitchen.
We didn't get to make the pasta sauce which I thought was a shame. I probably wouldn't do another of these classes.
-
It was a lot of fun, and the instructor was excellent! I probably would not have chosen those fillings on my own but it was nice to try new flavors. Thanks!
-
-
Our instructor was thorough with the steps to make a dumpling while exhibiting patience with our learning curve. A very nice experience.
-
Cynthia was great! I’ve really enjoyed the dumplings and the way how she teaches. Highly recommended her.
-
-
-
It was an amazing experience! Love the hands on with the making of the pasta. Tasted great!!
-
I loved this class and instructor. She was fun and had great information about recipes and allowed some room for creativity. I would definitely recommend her and am looking forward to taking her pasta class as well.
-
Cynthia was phenomenal! Great instructor that was very knowledgeable and gave great tips and tricks! Class was fabulous and pasta was delicious! Can’t wait to take another Cocu Social class again with her!
-
Fantastic! Cynthia was very informative, my boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience!
-
We had so much fun, my mom and I! The teacher was really helpful and informative, and funny :) We are so happy to take our new skill home to our kitchen!
-
The setting was the Bar at the Hilton Garden. When we arrived the room was divided in two by a makeshift screen and it became apparent that another class (a paint and drink class) was going to take place simultaneously. The other group was noisy which was disruptive of some of the instructor's directions.
The bar was still open to other patrons so the atmosphere was not private.
The instructor was fine and what we learned was fine as well. But it was conducted on dining tables covered with plastic table clothes; it was not a real kitchen. There was only one cooking station with a hot plate so the cooking phase caused a bottleneck. Overall fair, not great.

Everything!! Cynthia made it fun and great. A wonderful family activity.
-
Awesome class

-
What a lovely experience! I will make dumplings at home.
-
It was overbooked by approx double amount of ppl
All of the mixture fir dumplings was basically kale cause too many ppl
You should refund cause too many ppl
And I was told we were making the dough or at least learning how to
Also it was bad that the instructor didn't even realize it was double booked
We had to wait for table to be setup and started very late
Pls advise
Not sure I would take a class there again
-
Cynthia and Nadia were AMAZING!!!!! The instruction, fun details, and all around execution of the event was fantastic. Cynthia is dedicated to the art of cooking and was a joy to be a pupil of. My boyfriend and I enjoyed this experience exponentially more than the sushi class we previously took.

This class was more of a dumpling folding class rather than a dumpling making class. The filling was already made so all we had to do was mix, stuff and fold. My aunt (this was her bday gift) is allergic to corn (which was in the chicken filling). The instructor was kind enough to give her her own bowl with no corn, however, she forgot to give my aunt chicken when it was distributed to everyone. I was a little disappointed that I paid the same amount for both of us and she didn't get the same experience as I did.
-
Really enjoyed the class and it will give me the confidence to try making some at home. I realised that I don't need to make the wraps I can buy them, the "teacher" was excellent and a couple of hours well spent .
-
-
I enjoyed the class the part of learning shapes and types of dumplings and how to cut with knife. I had a not so great experience with the instructor forgetting to give me filling without ingredients I could not eat. She said she forgot and tried to come up with alternatives. So I couldn’t really eat what I created. Otherwise I enjoyed the concept and would like to try again another class. Her asst was lovely. Thank you
-
Great class, lots if fun would do it again. Did't love the hotel for the venue.
-
-
-
This was an excellent course. The instructor was both knowledgeable and personable. There was an emphasis on safety and I picked up a new kitchen knife skill. The dumpling making was fascinating - and very enjoyable at the end of the night when we ate what we made!
This would make a great quirky date night. Alternatively, kids would love going along to learn how to do these things. Or you could just go for the fun of it. My wife loved it and is already trying out new dumpling fillings at home.
All in all, it's highly recommended.
-
-
My teenage daughter and I took this class. It was really fun.
-
Awesome!
-
-
In this class all the materials are prepared for you so you just have to learn how to make dumplings and design and cook. You will learn alot, even a non-cook like myself knows how to make dumplings, its a hands on class and the teacher will give you one on one if needed. you work in groups of 4 so you learn from each other, You cook the food and you can even take food home and wrappers as well. Well done class.
-
Very good class. Intructor provided useful cooking skills I will be able to take home with me. While the actually cooking was on the basic side I did find it fun and it gave me the instructions how simple it is to make dumplings at home.
