Kait Kerrigan

Teaches at Primary Stages ESPA

Kait Kerrigan is an award-winning bookwriter, playwright, and lyricist. She made her off-Broadway debut with the musical HENRY AND MUDGE, written with composer Brian Lowdermilk, which went on to win her the Kleban Award for Most Promising Librettist. Her musical theater work has also won her the Jonathan Larson Award and includes THE UNAUTHORIZED AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF SAMANTHA BROWN, THE BAD YEARS, REPUBLIC, and UNBOUND. Her plays include IMAGINARY LOVE, TRANSIT, and DISASTER RELIEF. She is an alumni of Page 73’s Interstate 73 writing group, the Dramatists Guild Fellowship, and the BMI Musical Theatre Writing Workshop. Her work has been developed by the Lark, Page 73, Theatreworks / Silicon Valley, the Chautauqua Theatre Company, and others. She is a founding member of NewMusicalTheatre.com.
