Kit Lee- Demery

Kit Lee-Demery is a graduate of Pace University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and minors in Pre-Law and Psychology. She went on to attend John Jay College of Criminal Justice and received her Master’s in Public Administration with a specialization in Emergency Management. Kit worked previously at the NYC Office of Emergency Management as a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Consultant, in which she assisted in the training and recruitment of over 1,000 CERT volunteers in emergency preparedness and response. Kit also formerly worked for the Office of Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in NYC in the Special Ops division where she worked on the regional mass fatality plan, active shooter exercises, hospital mass fatality tabletop exercises, business continuity plan, and after action reports. Kit currently works for Pace University as a Residence Director for a freshman residence hall and is the developer of the Office of Housing and Residential Life’s first emergency preparedness and response plan. Kit trains professional and student staff members on her emergency management initiatives. In addition, Kit is an adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, teaching Public Administration. Kit has certifications in several FEMA IS Certifications and have had the WR-140 Weapons of Mass Destruction Radiological/Nuclear Awareness training
