Tina Schula

Teaches at BKC

Born in Vienna, Tina Schula moved to New York at the age of 21. She started her career as a filmmaker in the UK and graduated from LCC in London 1999. After directing a series of shorts, music videos and a 60min. fiction in 2004, Tina took up photography. In 2009 she received her MFA in Photography from The School of Visual Arts in New York. Tina was selected a finalist at Critical Mass 2013, Photoville 2012, The CCNY Darkroom residency 2010, Scope Basel 2010 among others. Print and online publications include Newsweek/Daily Beast, PDN, Emerging Photographer, Ojode Pez Magazin, The Humble Arts Collector’s Guide to New Art Photography Volume 2, Lenscratch, Whitewall, Bomb Magazine. Since 2010 Tina has been teaching photography at renowned institutions such as ICP in New York, The Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome and at Connecticut State University. She is currently hired as an Adjunct Faculty at Hunter College and Pratt.
