Description

What you'll learn in this kids technology class:

Our Video Game Design course provides the basics of game design in a hands-on environment. Students will discover the process of designing and building games using Code.org or Scratch platforms. Students will learn how to be a game designer, design narratives, learn to apply art and animation, programming roles, project teamwork, and how to make a game from beginning to end. 

During and at the end of the session, students will be in possession of their game projects to share with friends and family.

Please read: Instructions on how to access the course will be sent by email a day or two before the 1st day of class.

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy

There are no refunds or transfers after a class begins. Requests to withdraw from a class or transfer to another Community Services class must be done 5 OR MORE DAYS prior to the first class meeting. There is a $15 service charge per class for each refund or transfer requested. If you enrolled in a class less than 5 days prior to the first class meeting, NO refunds will be given. There are no refunds or credits for absences and late registrations are not pro-rated. Missed class meetings may not be made up in another class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

    We wish we could have completed the course but we could not. There was zero communication to inform us about the status of the class. We may consider taking future classes. The instructor was very good.
