Q: Where does this video come from?

A: Our online videos are recorded at our NYC campus, right across from Zaro’s. We handpick the best of our classes + workshops and fresh squeeze them to produce an online offering for students who prefer to learn on their own time, who live far from a GA campus, or who just love pressing rewind.

Q: If I pay for this class, do I own it?

A: When you pay for an online class recording you can view it forever. No need to download.

Q: Can I watch this on my iPhone, iPad, Kindle Fire, or screen TV?

A: Right now you can only watch our online classes on your computer. We’ll soon make it available on mobile devices as well. If you have a big screen TV, can we come over and watch Gossip Girl?

Q: What other kinds of online classes does GA offer?

A: GA currently offers a number of free online livestream classes where you can ask the instructor questions, meet like-minded peers, and hide away from your office mates during lunch. Over the coming months we will slowly roll out an archive of classes that students will be able to purchase.

Q: Is there a default timezone for your live stream listings?

A: All of our live streams are labeled according to New York time (EST/EDT) in accordance with a panel of artisan watchmakers.

Q: I live on the other side of the globe and won't be awake when the live stream airs. What can I do?

A: Select the "live stream + video recording" option when purchasing and watch it whenever you like (after original airing, barring time travel ability.

Q: What is a "replay"?

A: A replay is a pre-recorded live steam that is being rebroadcast. The instructors will not be available to answer questions, but if you send questions to [email protected], we will attempt to pass them along and get them answered if possible (please allow time for delivery, no shipping and handling costs apply).

Q: How can I find out more about GA’s online classes?

A: You should check out our current lineup up of livestream classes. You should also sign-up for our weekly newsletter.

Q: What is GA’s refund policy?

A: We hope all our students enjoy our classes. If, for some reason, you would like to request a refund, please email [email protected] with a brief explanation. We’ll respond as soon as possible. Region-specific policies are listed here.

Additional information on how to log into the online environment will be provided after purchasing the class.

What you'll learn in this self improvement class:

We may have heard the statistics that 1 in 6 people experience mental health problems, but how many of us really know how to respond to support someone in need or be proactive in changing these statistics?

If you want to make a positive impact on the mental health of your workplace and community, join Mental Health First Aid trainer and coach, Charlotte Wiseman, for this interactive class and learn skills to look after your own wellbeing and promote positive mental health in your community, workplace and home.

Ideal for everyone from corporate leaders to new graduates, this practical session will explore everything from the impact of remote working on mental health and improving habits to optimise our mental fitness, to supporting those who are having mental health challenges. These are the life-long skills that will support you to challenge stigma and be a leading light in promoting a more inclusive and mentally fit community.

Topics include:

  • Exploring the difference between mental health, mental illness and mental fitness (resilience)
  • Understand the pros, cons risks and opportunities of remote working in relation to mental health
  • Evidence-based tips to manage digital distraction, optimising screen-time and learning to switch off
  • How to spot the signs of sub-optimal wellbeing
  • How to have a confident conversation about mental health and mental ill-health
  • Tips to break the stigma of mental health and promote a more supportive global community
Disclaimer:

Please note that while this class aims to give you tools to optimise your mental health and support those around you in the workplace, it is not a therapeutic space. That said, we understand that talking about mental health can, at times, be challenging and feel uncomfortable. Therefore, it’s important that you understand and are comfortable that sensitive content might be covered and shared in the class. There will be opportunities during the course that we discuss these topics as a group. Please be aware that there is never any pressure to share anything that you do not wish to. You can choose to opt out of any activities or leave at any moment if needed. If you are unsure whether this workshop is appropriate for you then please feel free to be in touch directly with your trainer, [email protected], to discuss this.
