Auditioning For Film & TV: 2-Week Online Class with Michael Brian, Director/Audition Coach and Former Casting Associate/Director
We are excited to have Michael in teaching this new online Film and TV class!
Michael has worked with a variety of offices including Sarah Finn Casting, Julie Ashton Casting, Carla Hool Casting and Greenstein/Daniel Casting.
His credits include: Primo (Freevee); Bob's Burgers (FOX), Central Park (Apple TV), The Great North (FOX) The Bob's Burgers Movie (FOX); American Auto (NBC); Call Me Kat (BBC/FOX); American Housewife (ABC); Superstore (NBC); Ocean Village (FOX); Raising Dion (Netflix); This Fool (ABC/HULU); Extreme Measures (Investigation Discovery); Black Panther II (Marvel); Chupa (Netflix); Like It Used to Be (Feature Film w/ Gina Rodriguez – Indie).
Michael will be working with you on how to bring your best work into your auditions. The goal will be to focus on what you have control over (presence, spontaneity, directability), and not the outcome of the audition.
- Week 1 - Prepared Feature, TV, or Indie Comedy
- Week 2 - Prepared Feature, TV, or Indie Drama
This class is for adults and teens (13+).
WHAT TO PREPARE:
For this class, please prepare a 2-3 page film/TV drama and comedy scene (2 mins or less) from our general sides or a side of our choice.
Please email [email protected] your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.
Please follow the procedures listed below:
- Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.
- Arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event is slated to start. Your host will give important information about the event at this time.
- Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by 12pm (EST) the day-of the event, please reach out to [email protected] at least one hour PRIOR to the start of class.

Remote Learning
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
