Audition preparation for Film, TV, Stage and Musical Theatre. Appropriate audition material (monologues, scenes, songs etc.) is chosen and thoroughly worked through and staged.
The actor’s headshot and resume is reviewed and critiqued so they are presenting themselves at their best. Exercises for relaxation, focus and posture are given so the actor enters an audition with the utmost confidence.
Notes:
- Classes will be in person at Grace Music Studio NY in Park Slope Brooklyn or Online via ZOOM, or FACETIME, depending on student's preference. Directions and specific instructions will be given to new students when the lesson has been scheduled and paid for. Students should bring
- 1. A three ring binder (for copies of monologues, music, sides and cold reading material)
2. Material they want to work on, it could be a monologue, sides, or tracks and sheet music for a song. - 3. A notebook and pen or pencil to take hand-written notes.
- 4. A recording device (can be their phone) to record the lesson. Note; Students practice by speaking and singing along with the recording.
Important Notes / Covid Rules
- The instructor is vaccinated and is offering IN-PERSON classes w/MASKS ON and all in-person students and parents must be vaccinated in order to participate in-person.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

First Lessons for acting sometimes run 15 minutes longer, there is no extra fee for this. This extra time allows for the choosing of material to work on (choosing monologues).
