Ed McCluney

Biography:
Edward McCluney earned his MFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 1969. He has been a visual arts professor and exhibiting artist since 1973. He creates oils, watercolors, drawings, and prints. Subjects include genre, architecture, nudes, and nature. Influences were Alex Jackson, Jack Coughlin, and Gabor Peterdi. McCluney taught at the Massachusetts College of Art, Boston' Santa Reparata, Florence; and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge. His art is in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts and the National Center for African American Art, Boston; MIT and Harvard, Cambridge; Yale University, New Haven; Samuel L. Jackson and Damon Wayons, Los Angeles. Edward McCluney is a member of Printmekers Inc, Alexandria, VA.
