Great class, great teacher and great group of students :)
  • Drawing for Beginners

I loved everything about the class, the space, the assignments, the homework But what was a real downer was the instructor’s attitude. While he was very punctual, professional, and excellent at drawing and did create fun assignments, he was unfriendly and seemed to hate his job. He would only reluctantly put his phone away to help if one of us asked for assistance and then would provide very good help but it felt begrudging. Overall I was put off by his attitude.
  • Drawing for Beginners

I enjoyed the class and learned a lot about different mediums/supplies (pencil types, charcoal, water color, etc). Even though I have experience with art, I was hoping for more beginners-level instructions about the fundamentals of how to draw objects. Day one, we just sort dived right into a big still-life with multiple objects. I thought we would start with one vase, and breaking that down into shapes and representing shadows, etc. Same for the live model. What the best approach to drawing a proportional figure. I did love the instructor. She was helpful, approachable, and found positive/constructive feedback for everyone. I just imagine the class would have more structured progression.

Eva was a great teacher. The class was a good mix of interesting challenges, examples of techniques, and very low key, relaxing exercises. Great way to get an overview of introductory concepts.

Eric is a patient and insightful teacher. He meets his students at whatever level they are at (in my case a total beginner) and his input over the course really improved my capabilities. I liked the course so much I immediately signed up for the next one. We covered placement, blending, shading, adding volume, shapes, figures and abstract - all essential cornerstones for good drawing.
