Description

Haiti, the second nation to achieve independence in the Western Hemisphere, brings together three distinct cultural traditions: African heritage, American influences, and European traditions. The rich dance heritage and cultural expressions of Haiti have profoundly shaped the evolution of American dance forms, a transformation significantly influenced by the groundbreaking contributions and legacy of the legendary dancer Katherine Dunham.

Peniel Guerrier brings together his deep expertise in traditional Haitian folkloric dance to develop innovative movement sequences that incorporate the essence of various authentic Haitian rhythmic styles. His choreographic approach enriches these time-honored dance traditions through fluid transitions and the use of striking, expressive body positions that amplify the vitality and movement quality inherent in these cultural forms.

Refund Policy

Cancellations for all in studio classes must be made at least 1 business day before the start of class.
Students that do not attend the class will not receive a refund or credit.

The school reserves the right to cancel a class should the class have an enrollment of less than five students. Students will be notified at least 3 hours prior to the start of class if there is a cancellation. Please make sure your contact information is up to date when you register for classes. If the school cancels a class due to low enrollment, the student will receive a credit to their account. No refund will be given.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
