Description

If you’re a crafter and love the idea of making your own candles, this class is for you.

In this 3-hour hands-on class, you’ll learn how to safely craft custom candles using soy and coconut waxes (these waxes are clean burning and renewable.)

You’ll learn how to:

  • Choose the correct wick - the wick affects how the candle burns
  • Select appropriate candle containers - glass jars, tins...whatever you fancy
  • Use colorants - from light and subtle to hold and brilliant
  • Pick the right wax - what wax means for burn time and color adding.
  • Properly use fragrance - just the right amount and type of fragrance makes a difference
  • Melt and Pour at the correct temperature - temperature is what makes a good candle
  • Source ingredients - where to find the raw materials you need to keep making candles
And you’ll take home:

  • Class Handouts

  • Soy Wax Container Candle

  • Rescheduling/Full Credit:

    • You can reschedule a class as long 8 business days advance notice is given.
  • Partial Credit:
    • If you need to cancel a class and it is less than 8 business days before the registered class but more than 3 business days before the scheduled class a 50% credit can be applied to registering to another class being offered.
  • No Show:
    • If you do not show up for a class for any reason your class registration is NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-Transferable and NO CREDIT will be given toward any future class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

    This class was everything what I expected it to be. The course included theory on different types of wax, wicks, vessels, and a hands on candle making portion. The instructor was great! She was very helpful and informative, and I left with 3 candles to bring home. Super happy with the experience!

    Really liked this class. My girlfriend and I took this class and had a lot of fun, learning about different types of candles and the different processes of making them. We got to take home 3 candles each, which is pretty great. And they had a lot of different scents to choose from, some very unique (such as Tattoo Shop or Absinthe). Overall, if you want to learn how to make candles, or just want an interesting date, I would definitely recommend this class. Oh, and to the vegans out there: While its not particularly stressed during this class, it is, in fact, all vegan. No beeswax used.
