For generations women have been conditioned to believe birth is a terrifying and painful experience. We have been bombarded with horror story after horror story, the next being more frightening than the last. Because of this, women have forgotten or just don't believe their bodies are capable of having a normal, natural birth. 

This is why HypnoBirthing® is so important. I teach my mom's and their birthing companions about the Fear-Tension-Pain syndrome and how being tense actually prohibits the birthing body from doing what it needs to do to effectively birth the baby in a quick and safe manner, and how through learning the techniques mentioned below, mom can go on to have a calm, peaceful and easy birth-day. 

Whether you decide to birth in a Hospital, Birthing Center or in the comfort of your own home, HypnoBirthing® will give you the confidence to birth the way you want to birth. 

What You Will Learn:

• Relaxation/Self-Hypnosis techniques to eliminate the fear and tension that cause long labors and discomfort, replacing it with confidence, calm, and comfort.  
• Visualization, breathing and deepening techniques to produce a shorter, more comfortable labor.  We debunk the myth that pain must accompany normal birthing.  Why women in other cultures birth almost entirely free of discomfort and how to achieve it for yourself.  How the mother's body is designed to work in harmony with nature throughout labor.
• Practice in deep relaxation during and between uterine surges.  
• The 4th trimester, postpartum bonding, the importance of delayed cord clamping, extended skin on skin and the breast crawl.  
• Birthing Plans, the importance of having a well made birthing plan and how to make the perfect birthing plan for you and your family. 
• The vital role of your birthing companion as your birth-day unfolds.

We provide light refreshments for class, students are more than welcome to bring snack and beverages of their own should they so desire.  

We suggest students to bring their own pen and notebook for notes.
