Lovely afternoon spent with a bunch of plants. Kirsten's workshop approach worked great, as people brought their independent projects and even contributed plants. Kirsten steamed a ton of stuff. My pillowcase looks exquisite! I would definitely take this class again.

Lucy is an excellent instructor. I've taken classes with her and studio time. If you are looking for a mentor to increase your embroidery technique and fan the flames of your inner artist, she will do it. I don't consider myself an artist, but she was able to guide me through two original designs from concept to final piece. It was a lovely experience.

    Scott A • April 3, 2018
What a great find! I traveled from Seattle to take two all-day classes here and wasn't disappointed. The school is easy to find on Union Square. The space is clean, well-lit and features lots of needlework examples beautifully displayed. There's a HUGE library for research, and the school sells a lot of quality threads and yarns that aren't available at craft stores. The teaching was top-notch, the classes well designed, easy to follow and I came away with some great new skills and techniques. They offer classes from beginner through advanced, and I'd definitely return for several more classes that caught my interest. Check out their website for schedules, activities and more information.

This class was great! Annalee was very friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. I learned a lot, and Annalee was helpful in coming around and giving us help when people had some trouble trying out particular stitches.
  • Stitch-In

    Julian M. • October 15, 2017
This drop-in course allowed visitors to work on any existing project, tour the museum, buy supplies, browse the non-circulating library, ask for advice from the staff, and check out other people's projects. I loved the beautiful, quiet space. People admired my project and I picked up some extra floss. I'll definitely be back!
