This was my second time taking Israel's course, Urban Sketching, and I really enjoyed it once more. He always gives students pointers and steers us to focus on simplifying our drawings and color application. I highly recommend! -

Urban Sketching
Israel has helped me to not over-think and just create. He has given a lot of tips that have really helped me better see my subjects, especially perspective-wise. He has helped my approach by simplifying the process instead of trying to put pressure on myself to immediately create a masterpiece. I recommend this course. Though short it has inspired me to continue creating landscapes and to find my style. -

Israel Lopez, is a wonderful teacher. He's concise, patient and pleasant. I have done watercolor paintings in the past, but was always self taught. Israel showed us different techniques like: wet on wet, dry brush. We painted Koi and landscape etc. Five classes only, but packed in with information on brushes, what paper to use... worth the small price. I look forward to take more classes from Israel. -

I actually signed up for the class back in June and it was a great way to spend 2 hours on a Wednesday morning. Only myself and another student were present at the class and the teacher was great. The only reason I haven’t returned is because 10am on Wednesdays is an unpredictable time in my week, and I live 25+ minutes away. However, I purchased some of my favorite art supplies at the store it’s hosted within, so I’m grateful for that as well. -
Forest Nights
We booked this class for a double date with our friends and had so much fun! We all loved how our paintings turned out (ours are on the mantle currently). Perfect location as we could order from the food court and snack during the class. Our instructor was mic'ed up which was such a good idea since it was a big class. Good paced, not too fast so we could follow along. Our instructor even went around the class and offered to take pictures of us "in action" for keepsake. One of the most well-organized classes I'd been to and we did not feel rushed. Thank you for a great experience! -

I really loved the class. It was amazing to actually be able to draw things from reference and understand how shapes break down. I even did some my own stuff, which was a lot of fun. The instructor was amazing and was clearly very invested in teaching us as efficiently as possible. I do wish there was someone in the class that had more experience in the industry and maybe a bit more insight into developing student's styles if it were a six/seven week course. I do think he did his job perfectly. -

The instructor was great! My group of four had an excellent time. She did a wonderful job, normally instructors have an assistant to help with handing out supplies, etc so I was very impressed with her ability to handle it all. We had many students participating that day but she went at a perfect pace and used a microphone for instruction (great idea!) And even went around to take photos for us to commemorate the event. A plus. I'm so glad we went, have been waiting a long time for in person paint nights again since the pandemic! Thank you! -

Israel was a very good teacher, patient and able to explain the techniques used. A suggestion would be to email the students a photo of the following week’s project, supplies and technique focus. This way we could be sure we had everything needed. Because we’re not together as a class we’re unable to share paints as we can in person. Thanks for making the class available. It was very enjoyable.
