Reviews for Baking Classes in Los Angeles

Baking Classes in Los Angeles are rated 4.6 stars based on 545 verified reviews from actual CourseHorse.com purchasers.

  • Chef Craig was amazing, friendly and knowledgable...and the class was a blast! We each got to make multiple pizzas, (so we were really getting the hang of handling the dough!), and we joyfully ate what we made in class. Delicious!!! We also took home dough we made in class for future pizzas. Such a fun class, (great for a date night or birthday imho!), at such a reasonable price, we will be back for more classes!!! Cheers!!!
  • We had a wonderful time at the Spanish Paella class! Our instructor was so knowledgeable and really enjoyed his job. We would absolutely return for another class!
  • Chef Vic was an awesome instructor. I can’t wait to take another class from him.
  • Gifted my wife this class for her birthday and we both had a great time. Chef Vic was very personable, informative, and fun. He not only gave instructions clearly and easy to understand, he also explained why each step was important. We definitely would love to take another class!
  • Making donuts was a unique experience that I shared with my friends and children. Instructions were great and the donuts turned out delicious. It was nice to use industrial kitchen. One of the less ideal conditions included the class being held in a coffee shop. The lighting was poor and the space was not conducive to making donuts. Other than that, it was an excellent experience
  • Excellent class! Learned so much and the bread we made was top notch.
  • Eric is a wonderful, kind and professional man. His class was fun, hands on and educational. I know there is a lot classes he teaches but I wish there was more bread baking classes. Oh well, that one was enough for me to get started and enjoy. Many thanks Eric and crew.
  • The teacher was very good, it was a delightful class just waiting for the print out of the class.
  • I really enjoyed the class.
  • Jessica was great! I really enjoyed this introduction to French choux pastry. The class was a fun, laid back, and informative experience where we had the chance to not only learn how to make, bake, and fill choux pastry but also meet cool like-minded people. And at the end of it, we all had a surplus of delicious cream puffs and eclairs to chow down on and share with friends!
  • We really enjoyed the class. Chef Vic was not only an excellent instructor but also a great person. We look forward to additional courses with Chef Vic.
  • It was a great class, instructor was excellent! The only thing I would recommend is a better workspace.
  • Eric's class was a lot of fun. It was a little big. 15 people, but we all got to participate. He was funny, informative and helpful. Looking forward to taking another class in the future.
  • Eric is such a great instructor. We learned and have such a wonderful experience!
  • Loved it!! Ms. Blanca was patient with my daughter, and VERY knowledgeable! 10 out of 10!
  • Loved attending Syd’s class. She made sure we clearly understood the details each start of the way. She was personable and connected with each person in the class. We will definitely watch for her next class!
  • I lived this class!
  • Very solid class.
  • Such a great experience. I’m glad acme across coursehorse
  • Syd is an amazing teacher and it's such a blast taking her classes. This my second class with her and hopefully many more to come. Thank you for being patient and making the class so much fun!
  • Syd was a perfect instructor, I came in with zero baking experience or decorating. She explained every step clearly and helped out with any questions you had. I will definitely be signing up for more of her courses in the future.
  • This was my first time taking a baking class and it was awesome! I was worried I was going to be out of my league since I am such a novice. However, I needn’t have been concerned. Syd was patient and helpful. I was visiting from out of town so I had no supplies so Syd brought extra tools for me so I could participate. My cake looked great and I can’t wait to practice my new found cake decorating skills. This was a great class for all skill levels. Can’t wait me to visit LA and come again!
  • Great class! Easy to follow! Super fun- love how it was split in two sections while we prepared the bread. Will definitely take another class soon!
  • Was a super fun class. Challenging but learned a new skill which is always fun. I will have to practice to get it perfect next time I make the focaccia! JJ was lovely and would enjoy taking other classes she teaches.
  • Ms. Blanca was an exceptional teacher. I love her enthusiasm, passion and her great energy that she had with us all. Not to mention she took her time to really explain and teacher us properly how to make our decorations, homemade frosting and homemade fondant. I really enjoyed this class very much. Thank you Blanca... Keep doing a great job!!!
  • Chef JJ was passionate about making Ciabatta and it came through with her enthusiasm and very easy way of explaining things. I made 4 beautiful loaves and had dinner with my daughter and her husband that night which included a loaf of Ciabatta bread cut into slices, drizzled with EVO and topped with fresh mozzarella..one word Delish! I am planning on taking additional sessions with Chef JJ.
  • This class was a great introduction to macaron making. Since the making of Macarons tends to be a little difficult sometimes it’s nice to hear tricks of the trade from folks who have made them and how to avoid mistakes that prevent you from making a perfect macaron. I’ve made several batches since to work on perfecting the process. Would definitely take another class again.
  • EXCELLENT instructor. She was encouraging, engaging and very patient. This was the very first time for me to make bread and I thought the class would be way over my head but she emailed me in advance to reassure me that I could do it and I did make a great loaf even though my dough did not rise until hours later. I would take classes from JJ again.
  • I thoroughly enjoyed this class! This was a well-instructed class with clear and easily understood directions and the instructor made sure everyone understood. The very best part was the brioche!! It was outstanding. Thank you!
  • Great cookies!
  • Chef JJ was outstanding overall and her knowledge of the sourdough process was very thorough. She made a house call for me bc I was having issues w too wet a dough and she knew what to do to make it turn out ok. This was a great first experience in both bread making and Zoom cooking class. Thank you!
  • This was a WONDERFUL class. I got to let my inner artist shine. (I’m not an artist AT ALL!) The focaccia was light, airy and flavorful! Highly recommend this class!
  • This was a wonderful class! The bread dough was so easy to work with and the ideas for how to make it savory or sweet opened the door for many ideas! Thank you so much. I’ll be making this again this week!
  • Bread Baking Basics

Great teacher! Lots of fun and yummy results. Learned a lot about bread making.

  • So happy I took this class. The class was filled with great information. Roe makes it simple and easy. I'll be milling my own grains from now on! No more store bought breads or flours. I'm super excited!
  • Vegan Baking

Amazing structure, amazing teacher, lovely atmosphere!
  • This class exceeded all my expectations! I’ve taken bread baking classes before, but always left feeling overwhelmed. Roe Showed us how to make bread, and even how to mill our own flour. And he gave us a starter and easy recipe to be able to continue to make bread at home. If you’re interested in learning how to bake your own bread, take this class!

Both courses are available through Zoom, and the required supplies are a mixing bowl, measuring cups, spoons, a rolling pin, and access to an oven. The French macaroons course is a wonderful opportunity to make these delicate pastries from scratch.

The courses are available through hands-on workshops that teach excellent recipes and techniques. Both courses are an excellent virtual experience with the convenience of online learning and working within your own home and kitchen. However, there are some disadvantages to virtual baking courses such as needing to buy your own supplies and ingredients. Lastly, the virtual component allows for easy distance learning on your schedule.
